Sketching Character

At some point during my writing workshops, I ask my students to sketch either their characters or a scene from their play or screenplay in order to put their creative writing energy into another box and to view their work from a different perspective.

Above is Victoria Williams’ drawing of her two sisters Brigid and Christina from her short play Sisters that she has developed during this amazing residency. I particularly like the snail that is one of St. Brigid’s images.
